Description
Part of the eastern European music scene for hundreds of years, these untrained musicians would be found mostly at Jewish weddings playing traditional songs that had the crowd all knew. Dancing would start up, with the everyday problems put aside for the moment. Think of the music from Fiddler on the roof, combined with Benny Goodman,Ziggy Elman and Artie Shaw. Even Louis Armstrong had musical memories attached to this joyous music.
