Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
This little group of duplexes and triplexes are prime examples of what was called The Two Solitudes. The two flags, each attesting to their political beliefs, one from Duplessis, the other from Pearson. The two garbage cans, side by side, yet separate.Anglophone and Francophone. Papineau was a small enclave where there was a mixture of religions, politics, and language. Only the kids seemed to intermingle, with hockey being the glue of the street.
